Heated Pet Bed – K&H Thermo Kitty Bed – Review

This day and age, we still take in rescue cats to take care of. The bed that we used outside is now being used inside. We have three cats so I had to purchase another one. I simply can’t stand to watch the other two cat’s sad eyes when one of them is hogging the only warm bed in the house. So I went ahead and bought the K&H Thermo Kitty Bed for the other two to lie in. I’m not sorry I did because all three of our kitties are now warm at all times.

This heated pet bed is very easy to use. All you need to do is plug it in and it will heat up to a very warm temperature that is fit for both cats as well as dogs. My cats absolutely love it. We’ve had it for three months now and as of yet I have not noticed any problems or issues with it. It does exactly what it’s supposed to. For the relatively low price I paid for it, I’m happy with what I got. It’s a good product that will likely last me for at least a couple of years if not a decade.

Another thing I would like to add before I wrap up my heated pet bed reviews, is that I’m glad that the cat’s have found a place to lie besides my lap. Both me and my husband have a home based business and we do a lot of work at home. The cats used to come and claim our laps while we were busy with our work. As much as we appreciate their loving kindness, every once in a while we need to be left alone so we can get some work done. I wouldn’t be able to buy them nice things such as warm beds if I didn’t take care of my income, so I hope they will understand!

K&H Lectro Soft Heated Outdoor Bed – Review

I decided to go with a couple of outdoor beds because the feral cats don’t want to live inside my house and my own indoor kitty has the nasty habit of chewing through power cables. The K&H Lectro Soft Heated Outdoor Bed has its power cords insulated with steel coils so there is no way those cables are ever going to break. Thanks to the use of a soft material, this pet bed is very comfortable and it doesn’t require you to put an old sweatshirt on it to make it more comfortable.

Please note that this outdoor heated pet bed is an air bed. It requires inflation. It doesn’t inflate itself unfortunately, so you’ll have to do it yourself. This is not hard to do because this bed isn’t very big. You’ll have it inflated in less than a minute. The plug is not very sturdy so be careful not to break it. This pet bed doesn’t look to me like it will last a long time, so I might have to replace these couple of air beds rather quickly. It’s not that bad because the price is right. But still, for an outdoor pad I would’ve expected a make that looks stronger than this.

I am using this outdoor heated pet bed indoors as well for my own cat. It is easy to put this bed on any location where she prefers to lie. Sometimes, I will put this pad on the couch next to me so that my kitty will come and lie next to me. She looks so very comfortable when she is taking a nap on this warm pad. Whenever my pet is happy, I am happy as well. The pad produces a very comfortable temperature and it never accidentally gets too hot so there is no risk for burning. For the price, I think this is a great product. I will be checking out other pet beds in the future!

K&H Outdoor Heated Kitty Pad With Fleece Cover – Review

My cat likes to spend many hours per day outside. She loves to roll around in the grass and play hide and seek in my botanic garden. Sometimes she will want back in the house but I can’t hear her meowing when she is outside. It’s not until I walk past the backdoor that I can see her to let her in. It seemed like a good idea to buy her the K&H Outdoor Heated Kitty Pad With Fleece Cover so she would be warm while waiting for me to let her inside again. Like the name suggests, this pad is meant for use outside. It’s make is sturdy enough that it will resist a few years of being exposed the elements.

Ever since I got it she’s been sleeping on it for hours and she seems very comfortable when doing so. The pad itself is a hard plastic kind of material. I advise everybody to put an old towel, shirt or sweater on it to make it more comfortable. Cats usually don’t mind sleeping on ‘stuff’. As a matter of fact, I’d say quite the opposite is true. These types of outdoor heated pet beds are not very big, so when you have a larger cat then you had better make sure you purchase something a little bigger than this K&H 3093 model.

Generally, my cat loves this warming pad. The temperature it produces is very comfortable and it seems to be evenly spread across the entire surface. Because of the fact that this is an outdoor pad, the power cord is covered with steel coil. You won’t have to worry about your cat gnawing at it and breaking it. In the future I might buy another heated pet bed and I’ll make sure to go with the largest size that I can find. Nothing is good enough for my beloved kitty and I always hate to see her cold.

K&H Pet Bed Warmer – Review

What I ended up purchasing was not an actual pet bed, but the K&H pet bed warmer. You see, my kitty has already chosen her perfect sleeping place so I figured it wouldn’t make sense to buy a new bed for her. After all, when you put it somewhere where it fits and it doesn’t get in your way at the same time, you still have to hope they end up using it. But with a pet bed warmer, you won’t have to worry about that. You can simply put it down wherever your pet already enjoys being.

I bought the pad that has the square shape for the best fit with the cat’s favorite cushion on one of the living room chairs. When I put the pad under the cushion, it takes a little while for the warmth to penetrate the cushion and reach the top. But it’s better than nothing. The warming pad all by itself has plenty of heat, but it’s not nearly as comfortable as the cushion. So I have to make this combination to make my cat happy. As far as I can see, she is very thankful to me so far.

Naturally, you can also use this warming pad to create your own heated pet bed. All you have to do is put it in an already existing pet bed. It doesn’t require a lot of technical skill to do this. You can simply fold up the pad to make it fit in any pet bed and then you put a soft towel on it to make it more comfortable. A towel isn’t nearly as thick as a cushion so the warmth will penetrate more easily. So if your cat has already selected a pet bed as its favorite place to sleep, this bed warmer might be a good idea to make this place even more comfortable for your pet!

Petsafe Heated Wellness Sleeper – Review

I decided to go with the Petsafe Heated Wellness Sleeper. And boy am I glad that I did! I managed to get it for a bargain price. This pet bed has a very decent size. My medium sized cat fits in it with room to spare. A large cat would also easily fit into this bed. The cushion is made of some sort of space foam which feels soft to the touch. Ever since my cat has felt the mattress’ softness on her paws, I can’t pry her away from this bed with a crowbar! This is a real comfortable place to sleep for an older animal with stiffness of the joints.

This heated pet bed has a very easy plug. It’s a little pin that inserts very close to the bed and it has a long cord that goes to either the wall or a power strip. When you want to unplug the bed at times that it is not in use, you can simply leave the plug in the wall and instead take out the plug that goes into the bed itself. No need to make trips to and from the wall. A really nice feature.

The heating element in the Petsafe Heated Wellness Sleeper, doesn’t make the bed hot to the touch. It creates a very comfortable warmth that supplements my cat’s natural body warmth. The warmth is also spread over the bed’s surface equally. I haven’t been able to find any spots that were hotter or colder than other spots. I’ve looked at other heated pet beds, and this one was one of the least expensive I could find. For the comparatively low price I paid for this one, me and my cat sure got a lot of bang for our buck! I would recommend this pet sleeper for everybody that wants to do his/her pets a favor!
